Business Intelligence Analyst

This opening is with Arconic Engines ? a world leader in the investment casting of superalloys primarily for jet aircraft and industrial gas turbine markets.

The primary role of this position is to support the Microsoft Business Intelligence envirornment within the Arconic Engines Business Unit.? Job responsibilities fall into two focus areas:

- Develop, enhance, and support the data warehousing environment.

- Work with business users to develop tools to visualize and analyze data across various functional areas using a variety of software products ranging from Excel and Power BI to Minitab and "R".

This role will require significant interaction with manufacturing, automation, engineering, finance, and IT resources across the manufacturing locations making effective communication skills essential.? The qualified candidate must be a self-starter capable of managing medium sized projects within an established budget and timeline.

Primary activities include

- Analyze, design, develop, and implement modifications to the SQL Server based data warehousing environment based on user requests for new capability and for onging support.

- Work directly with users to build reports, dashboards, data extracts, visualizations and various other data presentation and analysis formats following both formal and ad-hoc development practices.

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor?s degree in computer science, business, engineering, information technology, math/statistics, or related subject.

- Minimum?1 year of practical experience in one or more of the above disciplines.

- Effective verbal and written communication skills.

- This position is subject to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status.

Preferred Qualifications:

-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively work across various business and IT functions.

- Experience with data analysis and visualization using such tools as Excel, Power BI, Minitab, and "R".

- Working knowledge/experience with SQL, SSIS, SSRS,? and SSAS.

- Knowledge of various business processes and the types of systems used to support them a plus.? (financial, manufacturing execution, laboratory and quality systems, etc.)

- Able to work in a self-directed or team environment.


Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
