Engineering Technician - Plant 3

This opening is with Arconic ? Whitehall Operations, a division of Arconic Engines ? a world leader in the investment casting of superalloys, performance coatings, and hot isostatic pressing for high performance parts primarily for jet aircraft and industrial gas turbine markets.

This position is located at Plant 3, Whitehall Castings Operation.
Responsibilities include:

????????? Work will focus on improving efficiency of engineering?s review of casting(s) with defects.

????????? Will have daily interaction with engineering (product, process, quality engineering) and manufacturing resources.

????????? Will involve some review and characterization of defects in castings.

????????? Able to assist in daily management of defective casting inventory as parts flow through the engineering review process.


Qualifications

Basic Requirements:???

  • A minimum of Associate degree in a technical discipline from an accredited institution.?
  • ?Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status

Preferred Qualifications:?

  • Actively enrolled in an Engineering related bachelor?s degree program from an accredited institution
  • ?One-year experience working in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • ?Good oral and written communication skills.
  • PC literate in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • ?Familiarity with Access, Microsoft Office and Mini-Tab.
  • Experience working in a layout environment and/or working with CAD / Unigraphics.
  • Ability to work in a self-directed or team environment and have good organizational skills.

 

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
