Maintenance Leader

Job Description

Arconic Engines is a world-class producer of aero engine and industrial gas turbine components, including airfoils, rings, disks and forgings. We excel in vacuum melted superalloys, machining, performance coatings and hot isostatic pressing for high performance parts that enable the next-generation of quieter, more fuel-efficient aero engines and cleaner power generation. Arconic Engines is a business unit of Arconic (NYSE:ARNC). This Maintenance Leader is responsible to lead the direction and coordination of repair, maintenance, and installation activities within Plants 4 and 5. This position will lead the maintenance departments and activities; supervise an effective team; determine overall maintenance activities and priorities; maintains compliance with the collective bargaining agreement, interfaces between management and union officials, interfaces with subcontractors and makes decisions for subcontracting work based on staffing levels; and plans, develops, and implements new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and effect greater utilization of labor and materials.QualificationsBasic Qualifications:
  • Associates Degree from an accredited institution or 10 years of Arconic specific experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the Internal Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U. S. person status.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supervising in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a maintenance department.
  • Must be able to read blueprints;
  • Experience with TPM, Synchronous Mfg, and Kaizen Concepts.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, have good team building skills, excellent people skills; ability to handle multiple tasks, technically oriented.
  • Must be energetic and a self-starter, able to promote and implement change, have good PC skills, good telephone skills, strong organizational skills, and ability to promote a continuous improvement atmosphere.


Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
